    An optical prism is a polyhedral component processed from highly transparent optical materials (such as optical glass, quartz, sapphire, calcium fluoride, etc.). Its core structural characteristic is having two or more precisely polished flat surfaces (prism faces). The sharp edges formed by the intersection of these faces are called "edges," and the angle between the different faces (apex angle) can be designed to specific values (e.g., 90°, 60°, etc.) according to functional requirements. As a fundamental key component in optical systems, it does not rely on focusing effects but achieves light path control through the interaction of light with the prism faces.
